The Green Party elects Elizabeth May as their New Leader

renegotiate NAFTA, new green leader says

Hopefully this is not the last we hear from May and the Greens. When was the last time you heard anything about the NDP? The NDP has 29 seats in the House, yet they seem to have fallen off the radar. How May and the rest of the Greens intend to maintain visibility remains to be seen. Having an ally in the Senate should help to maintain their profile.
May is planning to run in Cape Breton- Canso for a seat. In the most recent election the Greens received 2.5% of the vote in that riding, compared to the Liberal's 53.2%. She's got a lot of work ahead of her.
